The City of Wiggins shall receive separate sealed bids for the Dean Griffin Memorial Airport AIP 2024 Lighting Improvements project, AIP Project # 3-28-0078-024-2024 no later than 10:00 A.M., Local Time, May 24, 2024 at the Board Room located at 117 North First Street, Wiggins, Mississippi 39577. All bids so received will be publicly opened and read aloud. Work shall consist essentially of the following items: Removal and replacement of existing runway, taxiway and approach lighting Removal and replacement of existing beacon and wind cone Removal and replacement of all electrical wires, circuits, and equipment The City of Wiggins hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged and women’s business enterprises will be afforded the full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the following locations: 1. City Hall, 117 North First Street, Wiggins, Mississippi, 39577 2. Tice Engineering, Inc., 510 South Vardaman Street, Wiggins, Mississippi, 39577 All documents required for bidding purposes may be obtained from www.ticeengplans.com upon payment of $50.00 non-refundable fee for each set. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Cashier’s Check or Certified Check on a solvent bank or a Bidder’s Bond issued by a Surety Company licensed to operate in the State of Mississippi, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, payable to the City of Wiggins as bid security. Bidders shall also submit a current financial statement, if requested by the City. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount.
